Dr. Ganesh Ramalingam is an expert general surgeon specializes in Trauma, Laparoscopic and bariatric surgery. He was born in Singapore and spent early years in Bahrain and Greece as his father was posted there. He was brought up in a Kampong (farm) in Sembawang. Later he moved to Raffles Institution where he qualified for GEP (Gifted education programme) and studied medicine at the National University of Singapore. He acquired post graduate degree specialized in surgery in Edinburgh. Later he did a yearlong fellowship in Trauma at Beilinson hospital, Rabin Medical Center, Petach Tiqva, Israel, where he was trained in the management of wide range of complex trauma and surgical critical care. He is probably among the most renowned specialist in these three areas.
